Great choices! I'm still yet to listen to R. Kelly and The Clipse, gonna do that soon, looking forward to hearing that new Snoop Dogg and alicia keys too... Here's my list of some that weren't yet mentioned:

Hip Hop:

Rakim "Seventh Seal"(The God of rap is back!!)

Wale "Attention: Deficit"(One of the better new mcs out there)

Wyclef Jean "From The Hut, To The Projects, To The Mansion"(Another eclectic set from hip hop's most versatile artist)

KRS-ONE/Buckshot "Survival Skills"(2 mc legends dropping science!)

Busta Rhymes "Back On My BS"(Busta brought the heat again!)

Other:

Ruben Studdard "Love Is"(one of the few American Idol artists that's managed to release good music)

Boyz II Men "Love"(they still got it, now they only need Michael back and original songs to produce another classic)

Keri Hilson "In A Perfect World"(another young artist that's talented, she got potential)

Ginuwine "Man's Thoughts"(his best album in years)

Rihanna "Rated R"(she put her heart into this album after all the controversey this year)

Honorable Mentions: Michael Jackson "This Is It"(nice soundtrack to set it off for the memory of the king of pop!!) Fat Joe "J.O.S.E. 2"(people always sleep on him but he brings the heat)

I love your picks!! I need to get that clipse new album right away, id like to see a more in depth review first though.. I need to add to this list the BP3 from Jay, because even if its not on his prime rhyming pace, the album deserved to be mention as a favorite for this weak year.. I love your lists, Im gonna get some more of these albums very soon
