Cover songs which are better than the original

whitney houston - i will always love you.

True. But the Dolly Parton version got his flair too.

Do offense 2 Dolly, but after hearing Whitney Houston sing that song (or nearly any song 4 that matter), it classifies the orginal one unnecessary.

but I'm surprised that none of you said "Walk this way" Run DMC. You gotta remember that's a cover as well.

Since i'm not a real Aerosmith fan, i don't even think i have the right 2 judge the original version of the song. I don't know that i've even heard it.

Faith No More - Easy.

The Original Walk This Way is just abit faster with less off a hard drum beat. Bit more country-esque

Fortunate Son the Dropkick Murphys is way better than the first. The worst cover ever? Rod Stewert What a Wonderful World cant beat that Louis Armstrong baby. My favorite cover is Hurt by johnny cash way better than the nine inch nails one.

I LOVE the PMDawn remake of Under The Bridge. They also did "No Woman No Cry" and it is fantastic.

My other favorite remakes are:

Alana Davis, "The Reaper" (Blue Oyster Cult's "Don't Fear The Reaper")....She SLAMMED it.

Latin Rascals, "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood" (the remixed version)

Insane Clown Posse, "Let's Go All The Way" (originally by Slyfox)

Nonpoint, "Evil Ways" (originally by Santana)

PMDawn, "Blurry" (originally by Puddle of Mudd)

The Doors, "Gloria" (originally by Van Morrison)

Seduction, "Heartbeat"

Alana Davis, "Friends" (originally by Whodini)

Nonpoint, "In The Air Tonight" (originally by Phil Collins)

India, Tito Puente & The Count Basie Orchestra, "Fever"

Heavy D, "Now That We Found Love" (originally by Third World)

Aaliyah, "Let Me Know" (originally by the Isley Brothers)

Wow, I think I could go on for hours here. Let me stop now.
