ok.. does anyone know the specific with the original generation/batch of G5 computers that originally came out, and what type of LOUD noises they were reportedly emitting? (the fan or connection cable) and if I were to purchase one, (thats not dual processor),.. if it could be rectified easily or cheaply? LOL

Im looking to purchase one of these two (used) G5 PowerMacs:

1.

Memory (RAM): 1 GB

Processor Type: PowerPC G5

Hard Drive Capacity: 75 GB

Processor Speed: 1.6 GHz

Operating System: Mac OS 10.4, Tiger

Processor Configuration: Single

2.

Memory (RAM): 1.5 GB

Processor Type: PowerPC G5

Hard Drive Capacity: 260 GB

Processor Speed: 2 GHz

Operating System: Mac OS 10.4, Tiger

Processor Configuration: Dual

the 2nd one sounds more appealing due to the Hard drive capacity and Dual Processor configuration... BUT costs about twice as much... I would be willing to pay more, according to what you guys think... if anyone can help me out with this real quick...

much appreciated.

Don't know about the noise problem, but any G5 Mac is a beats of a machine and even with what looks like lower specs will run all proper programs designed for Apple Mac.

You can always purchase an additional hard drive for storage.
