1. This beef should get squashed, it was 4 years ago, I don't get it! :dunno: All Eminem has to do is grow up and make mature lyrics while Will does his thing representin' his image to move on from this, it makes no sense to talk about this anymore! :cussing:
2. I can't believe that the Pistons won again last night but they won't win tomorrow night, the Lakers are gonna fight back since they've always been all playoffs, but as we can see the Pistons are giving the Lakers all they can handle.
3. That's an interesting topic, it'd be hard to believe that when the history of the NBA started there weren't any blacks in it because of racism, but now there's more black than whites but I would have to believe that it's because maybe there's less interest in white guys playing basketball than years ago, a lot just want to be fans of basketball and play baseball or hockey instead. On occasions if I watch a WNBA game, I see that there's as many white women as there is black women playing so I don't think there's racism, it comes down to interest. There could be more black guys in MLB and NHL if more blacks were interested in playing and there could be more white guys in the NBA if more white guy were interested in playing. I don't understand why people gotta make race such a big issue, even in hip-hop too, if you have skills you should be judged for that only, not by what color you are, Larry Bird made a stupid statement on ESPN saying that more white people would be watching basketball if more white guys were playing! :cussing: Damn, I'm black but I'll watch hockey 'cause I like the sport and I don't care if there's less blacks than whites I just want to see a good game. Back when Larry Bird was playing less players were getting endorsements because MJ was dominating and receiving most of the hype, if he played better he would have gotten the endorsements, he's a player hater that should keep his mouth shut!
4. Those are some of my favorites too! Here's some more great ones: 2pac, Method Man, Redman, Kurupt, and Dat N Daz "Got My Mind Made Up" Big Daddy Kane and Biz Markie "Just Rhymin' Wit The Biz" Big Pun and M.O.P. "N.Y. Giants" Fat Joe, Nas, Big Pun, Jadakiss, and Raekwon "John Blaze" Fat Joe, Big Pun, Cuban Link, and Triple Seis "Bet Your Man Can't" Nas, Jadakiss, and Ludacris "Made You Look"(Remix) LL Cool J, Prodigy, Fat Joe, Keith Murray, and Foxy Brown "I Shot Ya" (Remix) :dancingcool:
5.
It's never been a problem with having good artists out there, it's just been a problem of who gets a record deal, who gets promoted, and so on. It seems that the business side of the music business only wants 2 support the bad and neglect the good.
I know a few m.c.'s at the 'Jersey Shore that rap true flows but they're on an underground label, so it seems that nobody knows about them outside of my local area.
6. Why is every rapper now going to Aftermath? I think even Buta Rhymes is now on Aftermath, but I don't that either until his album is released from there.
7. Hey I didn't start rappin' until I was 15!!! Sometimes it takes longer for you to mature as an artist, look at 2Pac, he didn't start rappin' until 14 and FP didn't start until he was 12, you don't have to start at 6 like Bow Wow or Romeo. As far as Romeo, his dad's Master P, who has had a pretty solid career until recently, his new song "Act A Fool" is a little corny compared to what he did in the late '90s. I hope that Will's kids ain't rappers, it would actually be cool to see Trey in the major leagues one day if he's good at baseball, maybe he'll be the next Barry Bonds or Rickey Henderson, you never know!
8.
Thats pretty cool that Jada sings. I just wish her and Will would keep out of each other's music. I don't like when they are together. I dunno why. Let FP do his thing and Jada do hers.
They should both let each other do their thing! There ain't nothin' wrong with that.:thumb:
9. If anyone says "F*** You" to me I take that as a diss and I hate it but I don't let it faze me! They're a lot of jerks in this world but sometimes it's better not to retailiate, as long as nobody doesn't touch me I don't give a damn, words are cheap somtimes! Will proves that he's a better man than Eminem by not responding.
10. That song's tight, I love the beat and lyrics! :thumb: :thumb: :ohnoes:
11. I knew the Pistons would win that game but I thought it was gonna be much closer. If the Pistons win this series, the dominance of the Western Conference will be over 'cause the Bulls were the last Eastern Conference team to win the NBA title back in '98 and no team from the Eastern Conference has won since then. This could bring more balance to the NBA again so I hope the Pistons pull it off.
12. Losing a loved one is a tough thing to deal with, all my grandparents passed away over the past 6 years. You gotta keep on living your life the way that person knew you and loved you for and keep on pushing on 'cause we don't know how long we're gonna be here. Keep your faith up in God and he'll see you through whatever you go through, you'll be a'ight! Keep your head up and everything will be all right! Peace!
13. The way that music is going now, it'll be a surprise to see a musical artist today have such longevity like Ray Charles did, all these young cats should learn from this man's life, an inspiration for us all. He was blind but it seems that he had more vision for his music than a lot of these young cats do. Just wanted to share my thoughts with y'all about this since we talk about the state of our music so much, the older cats are dying off, and it seems that the younger cats are taking music to the trash, it's a sad thing! :tear:
14. I think that this whole retirement talk was just a stunt, Jay-Z idolizes Michael Jordan, so he figures that he'll pull an MJ by announing retirement and coming back a year later. You gotta be kidding me, he's no legend, he's just doing this for popularity! :cussing: Maybe more peeps will pay more attention to Big Will if he announces retrement from rap and releases his album a week later!
15. Outkast released a double album and won a grammy, so their might be more artists mking double albums now.
16. The Pistons will win tonight, East Coast B-Ball's back baby! I love to watch great defense! :dancingcool:
17. Y'all did very well, much props to BadBoys/WildWildWillenium for winning and DevilsJim/Prince held it down as well for a great battle! :dancingcool:
18.
Nas has fell off the best of his peak. He better get it back wit this 3rd album.
Did you listen to "God's Son" or "Stillmatic"? :eek4: How is that fallin' off of your peak, those are incredible albums! I didn't know Nas only made 3 albums, I thought he made 6, not counting the remix and unrealeased material released, before this new double LP("Illmatic, "It Was Written", "I Am", "Nastradamus", "Stillmatic", and "God's Son"). I don't know I could be mistaken. :dunno: In my opinion, Jay-Z has been washed up for the last 3 years and Nas is a hall of fame lyricist.
19. I like "Get Rich or Die Tryin'" but a couple songs are kinda weak, nevertheles it's a solid album for this year's standards, and it's not a classic, I'm hopin' that 50 Cent's next album's better 'cause to be a legend you have to keep on improving. Dr.Dre's albums are tight but he hasn't released one in 5 years, I was asking what albums that are out now that you can listen from start to finish. I heard that Nas won't be releasing his album now until September, that sucks, no Will Smith album or Nas album this summer! :cussing: Columbia's a pain in the ass I hope Nas leaves from there after he releases his double LP.
20. If Jordan, Pippen, and Shaq were all on the Bulls I bet they would've won 10 straight NBA titles 'cause even without a dominant center the Bulls still won 6 in 8 years but I liked Bill Cartwright though 'cause he was a tough defender like Ben Wallace. In '96 they would've gone 82-0 wit Shaq!
21. I was only mentioning that Kobe had a great performance in Game 2, but he doesn't dominate game in and game out like MJ did, so he'll never get to Jordan's level. You're right man Jordan's the greatest,I don't think I'll ever see a greater player than MJ in my lifetime!
22. I'm feelin' that joint! I wanna be on the remix! It reminds me of **** I wrote during the summer of '01 called "Summer's Here"(Also inspired from Summertime by JJFP) Check out this verse from it: "There ain't any more school So there's time to enjoy the pool And stay cool By flashing some icy jewels Changing all the rules 'Cause there's more of a summer flow With the weather getting hotter, the mamis are wearing less clothes And you know that it's going down for sho' That's why summer is also the dopest time for rap shows There ain't any doubt 'Cause you see how it's going down For ballers that's what summer's all about Having your favorite ice cream cone Listening to this jam sitting on hot chrome Getting messages from honeyz on the phone And then heading over to the basketball court Watching the lil' kids jumpting rope 'cause it's their favorite sport Everybody's having fun all around Vibin' to the hot summer sound My homie, if you feel the way I do, give me a pound 'Cause we representin', you n'ah mean I'm not a canvus artist but I'm reminising and painting a scene No matter where you are, summer's the place to be The best time for the playas and honeyz" :dancingcool: I like that "Best Friends" song too, you have a lot of potential, keep doing ya thing, peace! :afro: :peace:
23. Kobe played like Jordan in his prime and Karl Malone is a warrior, he hobbled off the floor with the injured knee, but he came back!
24. True, I thought that "Oochie Wallie" was garbage, but other than that though Nas is the most versatile rapper currently in the game that I truely respect, it takes a lot of balls to make a song like "I Wanna Talk To You" and "Life's a B", my only problem with him is that he says the "N" word way too much! Nas's inspiration Chuck D is one of the rappers that ain't afraid to bring up anything, he speaks alot of politics in his raps, which makes him controversial, but is postive because he's not afraid to speak his mind, and even if you don't agree with him you can feel his point of view, even though I like Kanye West, Chuck's right, 'cause back when PE was on the scene, nobody would pay attention to Kanye! Chuck D should seriously run for president along with KRS-ONE 'cause they are the smartest cats in our generation!
