I think he needs to be seen in public again, either by going to movie premieres or events, or being active on his social media again. He has to act normal even knowing that people will keep reminding him what happened and make jokes about it. But act normal after all. To keep being who he is, who he has always been. And sooner or later, do a show with Chris Rock to talk about why he reacted the way he did, to try to explain why he did what he did, and hopefully settling this once and for all (or at least clearing things up a bit), just like in the encounter he had with Janet Hubert in the FPOBA reunion.
Until this happens, I'm afraid people won't stop talking about it or forget it, if they ever do, so I think it would be a good thing for him to act normal again and not give that feeling that he's hiding from everyone, somehow. But, of course, he needs to do it when he's really ready and has received all the help he is surely looking for.
Just my opinion.

As an optimist, I always thought he was going to pull out of his health issues. In recent years, Biz has lived about an hour from me and frequently DJ's at a venue I like, but I never made it out on the nights he was spinning. I'm really regretting that.  I did see him spin at the Will Smith & Friends event years ago. I also saw him at the recording for MTV's Back In Black, Men In Black special.  The last time I saw him was when I saw TLC in 2015, in which New Kids On The Block brought him out in the middle of their set to perform. 
Biz Markie is one of a kind. He is Hip-Hop's class clown. Few emcees are as fun-loving as him. I think because he can be so silly, we don't recognize him for the song writer that he is, the producer he is, and how much music knowledge he has. There have been some great tributes over the last couple days and they shed more light on that side of him. There's a reason he was tight with JJ+FP. 
We lost a legend. It's a shame that it took this loss for him to get some light shed on his music, but let's hope it's recognized the way it deserves to be.

What a wonderful reunion! Touching and emotional, with great behind-the-scenes footage. A fantastic gift for all the fans. It's amazing to see how many people and generations this show has touched. And after all these years, it feels 'The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air' is more popular than ever. So good to see them back together!
The James Avery tribute was perfect. A beautiful moment where words were not necessary to express how they feel about his loss. Very emotional so them all crying 
The Janet part was also a big one. I'm glad Will and she could have an honest conversation, and that she could express how she has felt during all this time to his face, the pain she says she's gone through. Hopefully they have a better relationship from now on. And I also loved that she asked to join the rest of the cast too, it was very nice to see them together. But I'm wondering, why wasn't Alfonso there when she entered the set? It was strange that he wasn't with the rest in that moment. Maybe it was because that part was filmed at a different time, who knows. But I'm hoping it's not because he didn't want to see her. Anyway, at the end of the day, it's their business.
I also feel they didn't give enough time to Joseph. It would have been interesting to hear him talk about hot he got the role too, like the others. Or to hear him share some stories from his experience on the show.
I'm definitely watching it again. It brings back so many great memories..
