  3. Was reading this article about British artist's in America and this caught my eye:

"Interland, who signed Blunt on a "gut feeling" that his music would appeal to audiences around the world, says the time is ripe for British acts to make headway in the US.

"Right now, the American market is in a little bit of a black hole with regards to good music.

"There's some interesting things but most of it is a bit samey. Hip-hop has got into a bit of a glut," he says.

Chris Dwyer at Universal Records agrees"

I think now were really gonna see a big change in whats played on the radio, it's already happend in England, now other country's are starting.

  4. Just to update you, Michael Bay just posted on his message board, he said that they are still writing the robot voices, and seeing as they only just confirmed Hugo Weaving as Megatron, and that is the second most important character, anybody could become involved in this film

  5. Only producing this film but looks very interesting.

"Neil LaBute, fresh from his triumph with The Wicker Man remake, and Ashton Kutcher, fresh from his triumph at, erm, something, are in talks to direct and star in the thriller Lakeview Terrace.

The movie, which promises to deal with the hottest of hot potatoes – racism (underline, bold, italicise) – has already had Samuel L. Jackson and the very lovely Kerry Washington on board for a couple of weeks now, but with the addition of LaBute and the mega-talented Punk’d guru, all the pieces are falling into place.

Perhaps we’re getting a little too cynical, and probably unjustifiably so. After all, until The Wicker Man, LaBute has proven himself one of America’s most intelligent directors, and his big brain might be just the thing to elevate Lakeview Heights beyond the realm of standard psycho-thriller.

Certainly, the plot promises controversy aplenty, with Jackson playing the psychotic LAPD officer who mounts a terrifying campaign against his new neighbours, a mixed-race couple (Washington and Kutcher).

Obviously, memories of films such as Pacific Heights and Unlawful Entry are stirred by such a plot, but normally you would expect the racist cop to be a white guy, so it’ll be interesting to see how LaBute handles the shifting racial politics in Lakeview Terrace – which, intriguingly, is produced by Will Smith and his producing partner, James Lassiter.

Filming will start in Los Angeles in June. "

  6. Wel, lets see. Next year oscars are not gonna be as interesting as next year grammys, thats for sure.

explain ... unless you know some inside info about the jackson 5 or just mj performing, i'm not sure how you working this one out

  7. The oscars are boring, i recorded it for 2 reasons, 1. bcoz its on until 5.30am here and 2. i can fast forward the whole thing until it gets to Wills part. Us commeners havnt even seen any of the films nominated anyway. The best part are the dresses....sorry.

Haha, there was alot to watch, will ferrell was amazing, jaden's part was good, the host was really good, espacially with clit eastwood/spielberg and scorsese

well it's fun for us film buffs who have seen the films anyway  :sipread:

  8. why anyone would seek out validation with an oscar is beyond me..

It's quite simple, it's still the pinacle of a persons career in films, think about the people who have struggled their whole life just to get into the industry and achieve their dream,

you just have to look at scorsese's career to see how important they are

  9. Ohh so it's not so obvious who will win then

Is it so bad that I wanna see Helen Mirren take home the oscar for England?

And you all need to stop worrying about watching things just because of who is involved, I hate to break it to you but the Academy Awards are bigger than Will Smith.

  10. Bad Boys 3: Bad Boy With A Vengeance?

And in yet more Fuzz related news, action director par excellence, Michael Bay, has said that he is not averse to a second sequel to the immortal Bad Boys II, which of course inspired the Fuzz boys. Apparently Will Smith’s “people” contacted Bay (funny – we would have guessed that Lawrence would be the one chasing a sequel), about which the Transformers director said, “They’re fun to work with, those guys” and said that that he’d be willing to return to the franchise. We’re guessing that this time he’d have to blow up a good section of the Milky Way to top the explosive second film, but we’re sure he’d think of something. Is it a good idea though? The second film’s firmly in so-crazy-it-just-about-works territory – could then do that again?
