i love this song! The video is creative too. Plus, you can't say Game is talkin about women, drugs, violence in all his songs. All 3 of his singles so far haven't had to rely on crap. Good for him

first of all, i love "Diamonds are Forever." Don't get it twisted. I said Kanye was good and different, but ppl think he is the epitome of concious rap, and that is a problem. 2nd, i read posts here everyday saying Will should be selling more... Well, if you want that, "tell me why" is not a good choice. I've already said why so I won't repeat it. I just want to know which one fans want. Will to sell, or Will to go against what's popular and not sell??

i agree with a lot of you. I have to say, like Hero, that I'm not feelin it so much as other ppl are. I guess I was anticipating too much when Will said it's as good as Summertime was. The difference b/w why Jadakiss' "Why" and Will's "Tell me why" is Jadakiss' was a bit more light. Will's is darker, more serious and he goes deeper into subjects. Jadakiss' was a hit b/c he didn't get too touchy with subjects. Sensitive ppl will reject "Tell me Why," and not be so receptive to it. Here's the thing though. If Will releases "Partystarter" instead and it's a hit, more ppl will buy the CD. If he wants "Tell me why" to be heard, the people who ended up buyin the CD b/c of "Partystarter" will hear "Tell Me Why" on the CD. I don't think all good songs need to be released into radio. If you market things right, good songs will find enough of the right audience. The problem nowadays is people think Kanye West is the epitome of concious rap. I really don't think it's a smart idea to release "tell me why" as the 2nd single. One main reason is, 9/11 which makes up the first part of the song, is a sensitive subject to many people. Especially to the people in New York, they don't need to relieve it or be reminded about it. My older sister's boyfriend attends NYU, and says ppl aren't generally comfortable hearing about it. I don't know how you guys feel overseas about 9/11, but in America it's not a topic we want to hear in a song over the summer. Trust me on this, it really isn't. Also, Jadakiss' "why" came out not too long ago. Some people feel "tell me why" is just riding the coattails of that song's success. Although a lot of u say "it's way superior than Jadakiss," most people don't think it that way. Nowadays, people are more concerned about "biters." Tell Me Why just is not a smart choice. Plus to be honest, I don't think it will be the huge hit you guys are anticipating. If Will wants more sales, the smarter choice is "party starter" as the 2nd single. Once u solidify a more sure hit, then u could release the other good songs, even "tell me why" to continue selling your cd.

I don't know if Jamie Foxx is gonna win against Will. Hitch was a way more popular movie. Plus, Will's won against popular ppl like Jim Carrey before.

one thing to remember is party songs don't necessarily have to come out in the summertime. Although it's better, there have been plenty of catchy, party songs that come out in other seasons and do just as well

my quote about "will has had about 10 singles" is taken out of context. I'm saying he's had at least 10 and more that people who don't buy his albums judge from. That's the problem. His best songs don't come out as singles. BTW u don't need to go on comparing who's more man 50 or Will. To each his own, their doin their own thing, their own way. My thing is, they hang out sometimes (which is exaggerated here), they talk, they're cool with each other, and they're not knockin each other's styles. 1) the story about Will not liking the Massacre could have been fake. notice that Will's quotes never specifically mentioned the massacre by nae. Remember, like what is preached here:don't believe everything you read. If you don't believe this story, then u can't believe the whole "hating the massacre" thing either. 2)Well first of all, as u know drugs **** up ppl's heads. They make stupid decisions. Now I'm not sayin this makes 50 smarter. It's just I'm very sure most of you think he smokes weed and drinks all the time, but it's not the case. He's said in many interviews that he does not smoke, or drink. If he drinks even a sip, it makes him woozy. He's said that he doesn't do drugs b/c he doesn't want to alter his state of mind. The songs where he makes refernces to drugs include metaphors/other people's experiences. Read up or I could post a link to a backstage breakfast thing here in LA where he said he does not smoke or drink.

u guys are completely missing the point and taking this topic out of context. First of all, u can't read if u think I said u must be a 50cent fan. I don't like him that much either, but guess what, he doesn't bug me to the point where I have to hate him. Also, the whole thing about being a hypocrite doesn't have to be taken so deeply where virtues and beliefs are brought up. You can be a hypocrite in many light subject matters. Now read carefully, I said that Lerkot kid is contradicting himself b/c he hasn't listened to 50cent's music thoroughly, yet he WILL COMPLAIN if a critic doesn't listen to Will's music entirely. That's what i saw going on when the critic reviews of Lost and Found came out. Then he says some bs about "critics only need about 10 songs to understand Will's music" to make an excuse for not listening to 50cent's albums. Now, nobody has to listen to 50cent. That's not my point. My main itch with this board is your neverending and bold hate for 50Cent. If Will chooses to hang with 50, NONE of ya'll want to believe it. You almost want Will to be you, to believe what you believe, to agree with you, and to pick and choose the decisions you see best fit. I say he's a grown ass man who can hang out with 50 if he chooses. So what? Now u throw hissy fits saying you don't get why. You don't know 50. You haven't met him as a person. ^^^no 10 tracks is not enough to judge Will. If all the tracks were like Miami and Gettin Jiggy With It, then most people would view Will the same way critics do. 10 songs out of a possible 60-100 songs doesn't cut it. If it's not good for the critics u guys blast for hatin on Will, it's not enough for you either. You are 50's critic. It's the same thing, and u sir, are being a hypocrite. plus, Will has had about 10 singles. Those are the songs ppl judge by most. If u want to keep it that way, then u could say 10 songs to judge Will as a rapper is enough. I say it's not good enough if you want to change what people view Will as a rapper.

i don't think you are giving 50 the credit he deserves. Although u may not like his music, and he may come across as dumb, I give props to him as a businessman. If he's so dumb, he wouldn't have a successful clothing or shoe company. Plus, his venture deal with Glaceau vitamin water is pretty damn smart. Instead of going for the alcohol business, he went for vitamin water which ppl of all ages could drink. That equals more profit. He doesn't smoke or drink at all so his mind is clearer than u think
