  1. Katt Williams called out & dissed "Kings Of Comedy" co-star Steve Harvey and the Jamie Foxx Radio Show goes all in on Katt Williams. Steve Harvey also calls in. Classic clowning!!! Katt Williams vs. Steve Harvey
  2. It's not that Vipa. It's just that many, MANY people are happy that the Cowgirls got exposed... which is what usually happens to them in big game situations. I guess I shouldn't rub it in but..... the Cowboys STINK!!!!
  3. My Bears wet the bed yesterday but hey, at least the Cowgirls got knocked out!!!! GO EAGLES!!! I'm cheering for the Eagles because Donovan McNabb is from the CHI!!!!
  4. Basically what that meant was Seven Pounds made more per screen than any other movie that weekend. Take the overall gross of the movie and divide it by the number of screens it was shown on.
  5. Congrats on winning the league Visqo!! My WRs & RBs picked the wrong week to suck!!!
  6. Well part of it is due to the fact that it's opening on way fewer screens than Jim Carrey's Yes Man. SP is playing on 2758 plus screens while Yes Man is opening on over 3500 screens. That coupled with the fact that no one knew about the plot of SP & its dark nature is probably not the best way to market a movie. Weather may also be a factor. In the U.S. the midwest & northeast were battered by a bad winter storm(I have 4 inches of ice outside my home). That being said, I think it's kind of hard to call it a flop since it didn't get a wide U.S. release(wide release means over 3200 screens).
  7. That's the dumbest thing i've read here yet. Why would u brand the movie like that without even seeing it. U don't even know what u are talking about until u see it. AJ, some people are just going to be negative about it. I respect everybody's opinion on this board but I'm really excited about SP. I've been on a number of boards tonight and those who have already seen SP have responded very favorably to the movie. I'm like you, I could give a rat's a$$ what the critics say(most of the time they don't know what they're talking about), I'm going to see this movie.
  8. Well said, AJ. Well said. I want to see the movie too & I'll make my opinion after I see it.
  9. It's a bit interesting that while the critics at rt.com have it at 31%, those who have seen it already rate the movie at 79% on rt.com.
  10. Well it's early. Only 12 reviews. I think it will probably end up around 40% on rt.com. Most of the reviews won't come in until Thursday or Friday. I'm not surprised though. From all I read, it's a depressing movie. People are already depressed in their own personal lives.
  11. Best Albums of the Year(in no particular order) N.E.R.D. - Seeing Sounds Coldplay - Viva la Vida Robin Thicke - Something Else The Roots - Rising Down Jason Mraz - We Sing, We Dance, We Steal Things
  12. I don't listen to critics because they don't know what the hell they're talking about. I make up my own mind when it comes to movies. Critics slammed Smokin' Aces. I love that movie. I personally don't care what movie is chosen for the Oscar for best movie, The Dark Knight was the best movie of 2008. That being said, I'll see Seven Pounds and I'll judge for myself whether it's bad or not. I saw Bagger Vance. It was bad. Wild Wild West was bad. While I enjoyed Hancock I can definitely see why people didn't enjoy it. Same goes for IAL.
  13. While I think Yes Man will cut into Seven Pounds' numbers, the Wrestler will not because it's opening in select cities on very few screens while Seven Pounds will open to over 2600 screens. Seven Pounds is not considered a wide release(over 3000 screens) and that is what ultimately will lessen his numbers. It's a bit of a gamble. If the audiences love it(because clearly the critics won't), it could do POH numbers. I suspect given the state of the U.S. economy and the dreariness surrounding it, people will want to look for an escape & Seven Pounds won't give them that. Opening Weekend: $23 million Total U.S. Box Office: $105 million Total Int'l Box Office: $125 million
  14. Will teaching Bernard Berrian a touchdown dance: Old School Touchdown Dance By Will Smith Bernard Berrian does the "Will Smith TD" Dance after an TD reception(it comes 34 seconds into the clip): Berrian Does The Will Smith Dance!
  15. I'll see you in the Finals Visqo!!! Thanks to the Eagles' defense!!!! What a comeback!!!
  16. Since Common is a Southsider like me, I'm definitely going to pick up his new cd. Always gotta support my Chi-Town peeps.
  17. That last pic is funny. Will looks like he's trying to get a smile out of the reporter and she's like, "I'm not havin' it Will."
  18. I think Mickey Rourke will be the sentimental favorite. I'm not surprised that Will wasn't nominated. This is an especially strong year for acting performances. Most of the internet sites & movie pundits who pick nominees for various awards have Will's performance around 9th or 10th for actors. That pretty much means that it's a good performance but not award worthy performance.
  19. Kev is on point. The deal Will signed with Interscope was more of a distribution deal, not a full label deal.
  20. :yeahthat: It feels good to be back on top Well that only lasted one week. Ended the season tied with Ted!!!! Now it's time for the playoffs!!!! Good luck to everybody!!!
  21. Thanks for posting this because I missed it last night. That old clip of him back in 1991... HILARIOUS!!!!!
  22. I have to disagree a bit Turntable. While I dont think hip-hop is dead, I will say that true hip-hop is not getting the shine it deserves. Lupe's The Cool was one of the best ALBUMS to come out last year and it only garners 4 noms. I think that's why Silver Tiger says bull****. Lil Wayne(and this is my opinion) is pure hot garbage. I call it an insult to all albums & artists nominated for album of the year to have Wayne's album alongside those nominees. Even Ne-Yo's Year of the Gentleman shouldn't be on the Best Album list. I think what people are trying to say is the Grammys are nominating & rewarding people not so much for great music but for slick marketing, beats & hooks. It's disgusting in my opinion. Save that stuff for the AMA, MTV & BET Awards.
  23. I listened to Kanye's new CD last night and I must admit that I didn't like it all that much. The album felt rushed to me. It felt like he just recorded stuff & didn't really think it through and go back & revise it a bit. It could have been a real good album if he tightened it up some. It's jumbled. There are about 4 or 5 songs I like but the rest is not good.
