  2. #thathashtagtho

    For. Real.
  3. Theimpromptu drop-in thing is officially tired..... I know Jeff's "working on him" but someone needs to put "Field of Dreams"-esque voices in Will'shead on a daily basis about this. "If you build it, they will come..." "Go the distance..." (^^a crowd of legit JJFP fans) Especially with all the 90s nostalgia out there always waiting to be tapped, im convincedthe right marketing teamcould sell out a JJFP summer tour in 2016 in like 2 seconds. All it'd take is oneslickly produced, viral-ready video.I'm picturing maybe a gag withWill rifling through his early FPOBA-era wardrobe as he prepares to get back onthe micfull time, Jeff looking on skeptically...Then"Summertime" blares in over quick cuts of Jeff and Will performing over the years - cuttingand rhyming from the 80s, 90s, and today - as a voice over announces that tour dates are online and tickets available. Maybe you get Alfonso Ribeiro to do that pieceand load his voiceover copy with nostalgia-inducing references."Now this is a story all about how the first ever Grammy-award winning hip hop actis reuniting andcoming to your town to BOOM! Shake the room! Even your parents will understand and want to get jiggy at the hottest tour this Summertime." [music dropsout temporarily while we cut to video of Alfonso in a recording booth -confirming this has been Carlton doing the voiceover all along - doing his signature dance and singing] "It's not unusuaaaaaaaalto want toget jiggy with Jeff and Will!" [cue vintage graffiti font coming down over final 2016 quick performance clips as Alfonso reads...] "Jeff 'DJ Jazzy Jeff' Townes... Will 'theFresh Prince' Smith... The 2016 STILL FRESH tour... Tickets available now" [and you've gotta make sure that tour logo is an A+ design with the graffiti - brand that thing right!] /endrant.
  4. It's almost summer and I don't understand why I can't get tickets for a JJFP concert date and I came here for answers and some hope that the concert dates are coming and I didn't get that and BOO
  5. Kanye and 50 fight for the 9/11 50 Cent: I'll quit if outsold by West 08/10/2007 8:56 PM, AP 50 Cent believes his new album will outsell Kanye West's upcoming disc, and he's betting his solo career on it. Both 50 Cent and West have albums due out Sept. 11. 50 Cent, who has sold better than West, has been riled by forecasts that sales of West's "Graduation" could rival those for his "Curtis" CD. "Let's raise the stakes," the 31-year-old rapper told hip-hop Web site in an interview posted Friday. "If Kanye West sells more records than 50 Cent on September 11, I'll no longer write music. I'll write music and work with my other artists, but I won't put out anymore solo albums." An e-mail sent to West's publicist wasn't immediately returned Friday. 50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis James Jackson, has been publicly disparaging of West before. In 2005, he suggested the 29-year-old rapper's popularity was only possible because of 50's own success. But they recently collaborated in the studio. Their work, though, isn't scheduled to appear on either new album. 50 Cent's last full-length solo album, "The Massacre," was the best-selling disc of 2005 and sold more than 1.14 million copies in its first week of release. The same year, West's "Late Registration" opened by selling more than 860,000 copies in its first week.
  6. jjfp samples

Thanks a lot for this info - it's really cool to listen to the original tracks. Lots of the samples are surprisingly subtle. :2thumbs: :2thumbs: (TWO "2thumbs" for this)
  7. Happy Birthday Schnazz!

A ridiculously late "Happy Birthday," Schnazz! Hope it was a good one.

Damnit, one more link! It's Mr. Rogers learning about breakdancing haha And my apologies for steering the conversation away from Mr. Wizard. :topic: (While I'm YouTubing it up: ) EDIT: one.... more.... link. Mr. Wizard on the old Late Night with David Letterman show:

Even better Mr. Rogers link... ...And yes, I know I'm a loser lol :welcome4: By the by, were Mr. Wizard and Mr. Rogers broadcast outside the US at all? :stickpoke:
  10. From Da South Music Video

    Awesome. :wickedwisdom:

I definitely grew up on Mr. Wizard. :adore: I'm no expert, but I think TV needs more people like him - and the late great Mr. Fred Rogers - today, people who work at a thoughtful pace for children. And for the record, I'm definitely just as big of a fan of Mr. Rogers as JJFP. :2thumbs: I'm not joking, in case that's what you think lol. He was The Man.
  12. I Am Leaving In A Week

    Have fun!
  13. What Are You Listening To? XVI
