  1. Ah my bad! I didn't know about the master fam thread. Man I've been out of the loop.

Hey Visqo - I've been doing the whole career thing! Consulting is a bit of a hectic schedule. I spent my first five months in Southern California, then a bit back home, then San Fran...Now New York for the rest of the year. Whew. I wish I could spin turntables for a living because I got the travel down lol.

  2. So Will Smith decides to make an appearance back home, unbeknownst to his long time friend and bodyguard....

    "OUT AND ABOUT

Will Smith surprised the crowd at the Charlie Mack Talented Teens Finals Competition Saturday night at the Yesha Fellowship Hall (2308 Snyder) when he came onstage to encourage kids to follow their dreams. The event was part of the annual Charlie Mack Celebrity Party 4 Peace Weekend. Mack, who also was surprised by Smith's appearance, is a longtime friend and bodyguard of the Overbrook-native superstar. "Streets," a film Mack produced featuring local actress Nafessa Williams, now seen on "One Life to Live," premiered yesterday at the Suzanne Roberts Theatre (480 S. Broad). Smith was there, too."

  3. Hey everyone,

I know it has been ages since I've posted, but I was watching the July 4 Wawa Welcome America: Independence Day celebration in Philly a week ago, and Jazzy really was on full display (along with the Roots). I DVR'd it and had a heck of a time trying to transfer to my computer - but it looks like someone beat me to the punch.

Alas, they didn't allow embedding, so here's the link. Start watching at marker 5:55...Jazzy has a 5 minute solo. It was just awesome. Watching some of the guys on stage in just shock was great.

    Cheers!

  4. I thought that most eagles fans were willing to give Kolb the chance..

Well here's an exaggerated analogy. The extremists in the Middle East get the most coverage, but tend to be the minority in the religions they profess. So do the loudest Eagles fans. They are a vocal minority who are controversial so they appeal to the press more than the rational fan.

  5. Yeah man...I just think it makes the case that Peyton's beatable when Dmac and the birds go for it in 2011!!!

I just hope we keep DMac so we could make another run at it since ESPN's rumoring that he's on the trading block along with Vick and Kolb, Colts basically been in the same boat as us in that they usually dominate the NFL during the regular season over the last 10 years but come up short in the playoffs... As I think more about it, really though the one team you could compare the Colts of the '00s most to right now is the 1990s Atlanta Braves of baseball, they did win that one SB in '07 just like the Braves won one WS in '95 despite all the winning seasons....

I'm with you on Donovan. I'm a big time loyalist to him...Larry Fitgerald was quoted yesterday at 610 WIP: "How do [the Eagles] turn a quarterback away that's taken you to the promise land every single year? I mean he's been in the league 11 years, eight playoff appearances. Name me another quarterback that's done that, besides Peyton Manning."

I'd give him an extension akin to what Manning gets. Many years. I don't want Kolb and Vick's not worth it.

  6. I dated a girl and realized a similar 'situation' within the first few weeks of our relationship. I can't speak to much more, other than it may have caused our relationship to be very abbreviated....

To this day my friends and I get a kick out of it all. I would say though that her issue was not as excessive as you seemed to describe.

Usually a friend will remind me with one simple phrase, "Dental floss"........ Yeah, yuck.

  7. Yo Tim, how we see the "last posts since you visited"? I see that we can look at recently added, and also see new stuff for each subject of the forum (caught in the middle, willywood, etc) but how bout all inclusive?

    Thanks!

  8. Bulls ran out of gas in Game 7 but I gotta give it up to the Celtics for pulling it out, they're gonna have a tough time with the Magic though, I thought that the Sixers did a good job this year considering that Elton Brand missed most of the season, many critics thought they wouldn't even make the playoffs, if he's healthy and they try to bring Iverson back next year to go along with Iguodalia and T. Young, that'd be a nice lineup, they could make a run for the title

I'd love to have Iverson back, but no one else would. I think the team has no chemistry and Brand has so far been a bad investment (they were losing awfully when he was healthy). I think having Iverson would be good for people like me, and for selling tickets, but I don't know if anyone believes that would position them towards a title since the team is run-and-gun with so many holes.
