New Busdriver free EP, much better than his last album.

I have the 3rd album on CD (European), 2nd on vinyl (which I transferred to CD) and first as a high quality bootleg download. Those are the best, they started to fall off after that. But they're one of my favorites, very entertaining.

Remastered with bonus tracks. Great album, great idea.

This was a song released in 1985 on a promo cassette. It was recently unofficially released on vinyl. It's a nine minute song never released on any album. Anyone have it to share?

"I dont wanna sit around all day getting reminded that life sucks."
Good for you. Personally, I'd rather hear about someone rappin' about real life than some hip-hop executive fantasy world that a small percentage of people can relate to. None of us have what Kanye or Jay-Z has, it's like they're waving it in our faces. And so many other "artists" are following their lead...it's degrading the artform further.
As times change, the world's opinion of what is "great" does also. It's gotten so bad that the almighty Dr. Dre has some rocker chick singing on his big comeback single. That NEVER would have happened 10-20 years ago! But he had to do what the industry dictates is "relevant". -
2 Live Crew did a song called "2 Live Blues", great blend of samples, I think Mr. Mixx scratched a harmonica part in it.
-
I agree with most of that, but who raps about UFO's????? I'd like to hear that.
-
Don't call your group 1982 if you're making music like 2010. Very misleading and personally, it's a slap in the face to classic hip-hop.
-
I don't like 50's music, but I like how he's standing up for real hip-hop. As far as I'm concerned, Diddy was NEVER real hip-hop. He was always "pop rap" as far as I remember. Real rappers don't write checks, they write RHYMES. Diddy's the opposite.
"Puff Daddy, enough already.
Now it's P. Diddy, still sounds s**tty."

I just found out that the go-go group E.U. (famous for "Da Butt") has a bunch of albums I never heard. I am having trouble downloading their albums "Go Ju Ju Go" and "Make Money", as well as some of their 12" singles. If anyone has these to share, I could share some of theirs that I have.

I remembered this show recently, and how LL Cool J KILLED IT on "Mama...". Does anyone here have the full show on audio or video?

This is a new league starting tomorrow, with ex-NFL players (i.e. Simeon Rice) and recent NFL cuts. Debut teams are in San Francisco, Las Vegas, New York, and Orlando. Games will be played on weekdays and some Saturdays. More info at http://www.ufl-football.com and http://www.uflaccess.com. I'm excited about it.

I did the second album myself from vinyl, but the first album is good quality also. One of the best rap groups ever I think.

LA's original rap station KDAY is back playing more old school and without annoying DJ babble. They played Parents... yesterday!
Listen to 93.5 FM or online at 935kday.com.

Just wondering if anyone here has the "Fat Boys Are Back" CD, if they can hook me up with the songs? The downloads that I find are not the best quality. Thanks.
-
I don't think the full 12" album will fit on one CD, I tried, it's like a min. or two over. "Another Special Announcement" could go on the second CD, but this is still a great idea.
-
recording and writing/producing is not the same dont you think?
I was unclear what you meant by "made the album", my bad.
-
The album credits say it was recorded in London, so is that a lie?
-
Just listening to the CD last weekend, and I wondered if there was any interview, video, or something out there of the making of the album. I'm interested in that stuff, how the songs were written, produced, etc.

OMG this is awesome! They are one of my faves of all time!
There is only one perfect man to be the third Fat Boy: Biz Markie!!! He's fat, he can beat box, he can rap, he's got the sense of humor, and more importantly he's got the respect and love from the hip hop community. Some unknown or "reality star" may work out, but it's a gamble.

Anyone have this pic in color?

I've loved that beat since EB&R used it. His flow kinda sounds like Everlast.

Wow. Just wow. From what I can tell from these samples, hardly a bad track out of two albums. Chuck sounds as raw and as real as ever. So nice to hear a true MC tell it like it really is.
