i thought it was gonna say nightmare on my street
Yea...haha that's what I thought, it could have been used back then.

Been a fan since Rock the House! Got it on audio tape... :O
Which version? 87 or 88?
-
Been a fan since Rock the House!! Jazzy Jeff's cuts were so musical back then... the most advanced of most DJs at the time (others' cuts seemed just too simple)... and years later, he's still one of the premiere Djs around!!
Good to have another old school fan on board!
:word:
Almost 20 years for some of us. They should release 20 year anniv. versions of the albums with the original GANBT and a DVD. Same with "DJ...Rapper" and make it a 78 minute CD.

As far as I'm concerned, that's not a Fresh Prince picture, that's a Will Smith picture. There is a difference.
And I think 2Pac is overhyped as well. Never really liked his music.

well .. to be honest .. I don't like the design .. I generally hate band-shirts with pictures of the artists because it kinda reminds me of those teenie worn backstreet boys shirts and all that stuff .. don't get me wrong .. I really love band shirts .. but they gotta have the symbol of the band or a funny motive on them and an picture of the band is an absolute no-go .. the idea of a fan-shirt is great though

My shirt from the "...DJ...Rapper" tour was a simple black with a teal JJ+FP logo. Nice and simple.

hey welcome man its good to have another old school fan! Will still breaks out the runnin man on stage regularly..especially when hes performing with biz markie :switch:
Too bad Will & Biz didn't hook up back in the JJFP days, that could have produced some funny results, like when Biz did a song with Humpty Hump:
"Yo mom's so black, I looked at her, I thought I was asleep"

Do we know it's even legit? Anyone can make a jacket and *claim* it's original and they were a dancer.
But why would they do that?!? It's got Marvel Comics super heros on it. If they were gonna lie about something like that, wouldn't they say it waz Stan Lee's jacket or something. Besides the Too Damn Hype Posse isn't exactly the most well known rap crew in the world. Nobody trusts anybody these days...ha ha.
To get some poor sucker to cough up a mil. Then they'd be like: :gettinjiggywitit:
Why would the TDH Posse have Marvel Comics on their jackets?
-
Hello fellow old school fan! How about "U Can't Touch This"?

Looks pretty unbelievable to me. I don't trust it.

If this is as simple as he says it is, we're all gonna look like idiots when the answer's revealed.

89 - 1 - And in this corner - 1 means it's his first grammy
Their first grammy was in 1988 for "Parents".

I disagree with you there, I've sold other rap tapes for $3-4 each, and I just sold two tapes of a punk band for $26.
And I have the original cassettes of RTH and DJ...Rapper, those I def will keep!
-
...And In This Corner, Homebase, and Code Red.
PLUS "Big Willie Style" CD.
All four for 99 cents. All original releases. Cases, tapes and inserts are in good to near mint condition, CD is in near mint condition.

And before y'all jump on me for selling them, I don't listen to tapes anymore.

17 the total number of tracks on "He's the DJ, I'm The Rapper"
Only on that butchered CD version! :damnlorettas:
The vinyl/cassette has 18.

I want to see Jazzy Jeff produce an album for LL Cool J..
:metoo:
LL + a great DJ would give songs a good old school feel.
JJLL man! :2thumbs:

Yea it is, I found it on the forum by searching "new kids" not with a z.
Found a lot of b-sides I slept on too. :shakehead:
-
I know that, unfortunately. I meant the song.
-
Forgive me for being out of touch here, but what is this song and where is it from? I never heard of it until I got on here.
-
Can someone please repost the avi link?
Thanks.

How about a "He's The DJ I'm The Rapper" shirt with Prince on the front and Jeff on the back?
:word:
Mike Shinoda (from Linkin Park and Fort Minor) lists JJFP as one of his main influences growing up
in Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince

Rap/rock is a dying trend and the music world is better off without it. Call me old-fashioned or closed-minded, but the only good rap/rock band I've heard is Urban Dance Squad, who helped start it all and were ahead of their time.
