  1. Thanks guys.

To clear some things up. I know that the 2nd and 3rd verses are a little short. But the first verse a little long too. And I'm definitely trying to make a beat that will make this song all come together. No hook. No chorus. In fact I'm going to try to do more songs with no chorus'. Thanks for the replies and more replies are welcome.

    God Blessa!
  2. Hey everyone. I said I've been working on music and my movie. Well I just started my movie yesterday and last night this came to me and I kept writing. This is the first full song I'm posting here. I hope to have a beat and have it recorded by the end of the year.

    Simply titled "Life":

    Verse One:
The intellectuals said I was lame
    But then quickly they’re tame
    I’m rising past intellectual conquests
    Scrapping Satan’s test’s
    I won’t press
It’s the lessons we learn as we come back to our turn
    The lines are short
    Back to spiritual resorts
    Demons flooding in
    And the whole thing contorts
    Running round in circles
    Will my words be empty
Or will I live what I speak
I’m at the top of the peak
    The decisions are made
    Jump. I’m ready
My screams burning out the common fade
    I’m back with a blast
    I made it
    Fear and truth desegregated
    Debts fulfilled, I paid it

    Verse Two:
We move from peak to peak
    We’re worried what’s to come
When you think you can’t get higher
    Then your challenge is won
    Write them down
Then go and live your life loud
    Cause fear ain’t proud
    Exhaustion from caution
    Living a lifeless life
    We all go through strife
But the hero’s not the zero with his throat to a knife

    Verse Three:
    Survive life’s short stories
What was horror will live to score ya
    The tell of the tales
What you thought was big, to others in comparison fails
Don’t be scared until you’re lying down with your hands taking nails
    Life’s a trip of questions
    Answer them honestly
Simple sessions bring recollections of the truth you first knew
    We’re sitting in stew
    Cook the pot-
And the plots up to you

    God Blessa!
  3. Hey, I'm thinking of adding some CD's to my collection. I'm stepping up on my music and I want to be surrounded by quality rap for a while.

What I want from you is reccomendations of great hip hop CD's.

By my definition of "Great" this means:
*No Parental Advisory (I don't need all this cussing if I'm not going to cuss in my music)
*Great lyrics (Think: Anything by Kel Spencer, heck, tell me how to get more music by him, think: raw hip hop)
    *Flow
*Think: This is my money you're spending, please don't hurt my wallet for a Ja Rule Jr.

    Thanks for anyone's help.

    God Blessa!
  4. In 6th grade I think is when I wrote my first two songs. Recently this summer I found those songs. They were really wack. I threw them away.

In my sophmore year. Some of my friends got into freestyling. I was feeling like getting into it. Well one day during Spanish class, we were having a party. My friend was like "Chris, let's hear you beatbox." I picked up the mic and went at it. He was impressed cause I did it better than him. I started freestyling later. It became something that was almost everyday. I battled with some others I knew at lunch. Then, all but one of us in the group of four left for 3 different schools for our Junior year.

Junior year didn't bring anything. I did begin writing at home on the computer. I have one finished song (my intro), and a lot of unfinished songs, and a lot of collections of bars that came to my mind. But the summer that I'm now in has been pumping in creative juices through my veins. I have a pad of paper and a marker in my room that I've been writing in. I recently got a new computer that I plan to use it for what I create.

I'm planning to buy a keyboard (the musical kind) and a nice mic for my music and for a movie I've been working on making into a reality. I'm hoping to be able get my music and movie out by the end of 2005. A lot of work to do, but worth it if you enjoy it.

    God Blessa!
  5. Actually it's in Universal Studios Florida. I've never been to Florida, so I've never seen it. What it is is a ride/movie where you shoot aliens. I looked into the site more and found this:

Summary: Don't see the movie...be in it !
First of all I want to say I hated the film MIB - it is like a textbook form for how to create a summer blockbuster - it was more like watching a 2 hour Will Smith Music Video than a movie.

All right - that is out of the way. I just did the Universal Studios tour and had zero idea what this was all about. I thought it would be like the Back to the Future ride. Since I had no interest in BTF, but it was a fun ride, I thought what the heck with MIB.

But no! It was NOT a movie at all and it was more than a ride! First up - a phony elevator dropping you to the waiting area. Perfectly done! It was like walking through the movie set with the big conference room where all the agents work with massive aliens at the control panels. Later on there are two of the 'roach' type aliens talking in a break room. Great entertainment that makes waiting on line fun.

The best thing was it was NOT A RIDE !! It was a game. You have 9 people per car in rows of 3, each with a laser (light) gun. You go through the town blasting away at aliens as they appear all over racking up points - competing against another team going the through across the way. After 10 minutes it's time for the head-to-head showdown with the other team. Push the red button and if you can hit the antenna on the back of their car the spin out of control. I nailed them 4 times in a row and racked up 215,000 points to give our team the edge. Then Will Smith is on the huge screen announcing us as the winners and "all I can say is you are losers." to the other team. Great time, great fun!! And they take your picture unaware on the ride and try to sell it you after.[/quote]

    That about sums it up.

    God Blessa!
  6. I liked Simone too, but Understand is my favorite. It's fun just to listen to you flow in it. Anyway, I plan on buying some new equipment soon (i.e. a keyboard [the musical kind, not the computer kind], and a good mic). So hopefully you can all hear something I've done too.

    God Blessa!
  7. Afraid of competition
    People want a coalition
But now that I'm pumping in truth
The board brings up a new petition
    Mad that I went first
    Made that they went last
    The present is the present
And your winnings are the past
    It's 11 O'clock here
    Never lyrically outta stock dear
    Call up your friends
To my victory we'll say "Cheers"
Now bring on a battle of truth
Not the 20 minute pre-thought dupe
I know what I see when an MC is fakin
It's easy on the net cause nobody see's you baking
All the rhymes you thought upstairs before they came down
All the judges praise you and they hand down the underserving crown
But I won't change my patterns and conform to get wins
I know I didn't cheat and my spirit is on high ends
Now bring on a battle if you're gonna be real
    I want a REAL freestyle
A get it, got it, good
If you really won then I'll say that it was fun
But so far I know the patterns, please suprise me
Cause so far the lame happy meals don't appetize me

    God Blessa!
