  1. Hmm. The tracklist sounds interesting. I will definately buy this cd. I'm especially interested in the Song featuring Method Man. Is this track on the EP? I haven't got the EP yet.
  2. Hi. Does someone have the song called "Race Card" performed by Ice Cube? I can only find the video no youtube. Thanks.
  3. I don't like the remixes of it as much as I like the album version. I think that it's the best track of "Born to Reign". The beats remind sounds like rock and I don't know, but rock featuring rap rhymes aren't that bad. And it's another sample of how different tastes can be :1-say-yes:
  4. That's the same question I wanted to ask. Why do you buy edited versions?? That doesn't make sense to me. I've got a lot of these titels at home, too. But I wouldn't be able to listen to a DMX cd without his violent lyrics. I can't understand that. Nevertheless it's an awesome collection, AJ. Respect
  5. Ice Cube isn't a bad actor. I think he's very talented. I really liked his performances in "Boyz 'N The Hood" or "Higher Learning". And his "Friday" movies are awesome, too. And I think he could play a great villain. But these thoughts are just wishes. Let's wait and see what will happen in the future.
  6. I really like this song. I bought the japan cd of born to reign just to get it. It's a great finish to the album, which is not as bad as some dudes make it. It's great to listen to if I wanna chill. It's one of my favourites. When I see the 14-track version of the album in stores, I always think: "damn, there's somethin' missing on it..."
  7. I really hope they'll make a third one. Including the cast of part 1 and 2 of course. What I'd like to see is Ice Cube being the bad guy. That's the last thing that'll happen, but it would be the awesome confrontation between the 2 most successful rapper/actor on this planet. I would be awesome :2thumbs:
  8. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post this one here, but there's a website which makes it possible to download videos from youtube. It's keepvid.com. It's explained how to download a youtube video there. I'm not sure if it's legal, but it's useful. That's the way I got the video... :wiggle:
  9. It was clear to me that he would be nominated. That's why the movie was released late. But he won't win. If you ask me it's going to be Leo DiCaprio this time. But deep inside I hope that I'm wrong and Will wins it.
  10. I haven't seen the Pursuit of Happyness before, so I can't say somethin' about his performance. Therefore I choose Bagger. It's definately an awesome character. It's everything in it that's necessary for a good movie. The pictures are awesome, the soundtrack is great, too. The actors and so on. And Will made on of his best performances ever. Therefore it's Bagger for me.
  11. Well, I heared the rumors about Will's retirement from hip hop, too. I was thinking about his point of view (why could he even think about that). And even if it's sad for us, who can blame him? His last 3 CD's (Born to reign, 2002's Greatest Hits and Lost & Found) weren't as successful as Big Willie Style or even Willennium. He doesn't get the same attention and credits by doing rap music today as he gets by doing movies. And he earns much more money in Hollywood. And there's nothing more he can reach by his music. He won almost everything in his music career (Grammy's etc.). The only title missing in his collection is the oscar. But all that thoughts don't mean that he really retires. Let the media talk about that as long as they want it. I will only believe it if I hear Will say "That's it. I'm done". Because I'm sure he knows who his real fans are. And he would lose a lot of credit if he would turn his back against us.
  12. Hi. I got Nas new album "Hip Hop is dead" last week. I got the version with 16 tracks. On ebay I saw a version with 14 tracks and some other songs on it. I'd like to listen to this additional tracks, so could someone upload the following please? - Don't Hate Me Now - QB Tru G's featuring The Game - Where Y'all At - White Man's Paper featuring Damien Marley If you need tracks of the other version, like "Money Over Bull****", "You Can't Kill Me", "Carry the Tradition", "Who killed it?" or "Hope" (A Capella), please contact me. Thank you very much.
  13. Goodbye, Godfather of Soul. Rest in Peace.
  14. why bother arguing with comments that are as thoughtful as a 12 year olds ramblings on myspace.. :sleep2: Please explain that, guys. I wanna know what you mean by that. Please explain the difference between Rap and Hip Hop to me. I don't get the point. It's all the same to me. A beat and a rhyme. And I'm listening to both old stuff and new stuff and I like both.
  15. Well, Ludacris isn't a bad rapper in my oppinion, but he's far from being great. He's got two or three very good songs, but that's it. Eminem IS in my top 10 list of my favourite rappers. Just because he's got very very good and funny rhymes. He is a gift to the hip hop world, his major success from 1999 till 2003 proved that. I think he never lost his skills, he became more thoughtful about himself, that's why lots of people think he became whack. I don't think so. And about ghostwriters or somethin' like that, IT DOESN'T MATTER. I don't care who writes the song. If it's a good song with good rhymes, then it doesn't matter who wrote the lyrics. Most popstars don't even write one song by themselves. And it doesn't matter there. Why in hip hop? Some artists have so much albums and so much featured songs, that it wouldn't surprise me if they're not by themselves. Come on. And finally about the marketing aspect. You're right. Marketing sells records. The best example is Will's Lost & Found (especially the Party Starter single), or for example Method Man's new album "4:21". I found it when I checked the hip hop department of a shop. I checked it, I liked it, I bought it. But I didn't know something about it's release, because nobody mentioned it's release. And I think it didn't sell well. That proves that it doesn't matter how great the lyrics are, if there's no marketing that promotes the album, it won't be bought by the mass (except fans, of course). And that's the bottom line about that.
  16. Ice Cube Snoop Dogg DMX Method Man 2Pac
  17. I need the bonus track of Xzibit's 2nd album "40 Dayz & 40 Nightz" titled "Don't let the money make you" (Runtime: 5:19) Anyone got it??
  18. "Amen, reverend". Amen. :iagree: I suppose you're right.
  19. 2007 will be the year of the sequels. Rocky Balboa, Rambo 4, Die Hard 4, Beverly Hills Cop 4. The only thing's missing would be Lethal Weapon 5.
  20. Well, I don't know what to say. Will and 50, LL and 50. Hmmm... That's heavy. Will and 50 are so different artists. I hope they can get along, and I hope that 50 learns a little bit of Will.
  21. News like that show it: JJFP are still in some people's mind. And that's awesome. I hope Jeff and Will will finally fulfill our wish and record a new JJFP album in the near future. Let's continue to hope for it.
  22. I can't believe what I read here. The Legend of Bagger Vance is one of my favourite Will Smith movies. It's a very very well written story with beautiful pictures and great acting performances, especially Will is great. My favourite scene is the one at the golf court at night, when Will's talking to the boy about the authentic swing. And Six Degrees Of Separation is a very funny comedy movie. I like it too. Will talks like a professor there. Very very smart characters and a very funny story, I think based on a true story. Now back to topic. I don't know how I can explain my thoughts about WWW. WWW is a Wild West comedy movie with a stupid story, very good actors and a very good director, too. The reason why the movie is hard to watch for me is, that the story is weak and stupid. It has very funny scenes, but that are boring when you watch them the 9th or 10th times.
  23. Go to ebay. Search for the Greatest Hits of 1998. Sometimes you find the japan version of it. It's on there.
  24. I finally heared it now and I must say, that I like it. It's not that bad. Okay, the original version is better and I'm still not sure if it's real or a fake. But I like it, sounds good. Especially the refrain.
  25. I never heard that song before, so I can't say if it's a fake or not. But I like Lil Jon's beats, so I'm interested. Could someone upload it please??? I never heared that song before, so I can't say if it's a fake or not. But I like Lil Jon's beats and remixes, so I'm interested in it. Could someone upload it, please???
