  1. It just keeps looking better and better! And finally we got to see a little bit from Thandie Newton. Thx Miss Ashley Is there any way to save it in good quality to your hard drive?
  2. The one with the car doesn't really work for me. It looks like a gritty version of The Fast And The Furious. However the second one with Will standing on an empty street in Manhattan look f**king great! I would have no problem with this being the official poster (with few changes like taking an actual photo of Will from LEGEND). It is perfect in terms of mood. It even promotes the movie as more of a drama than a horror flick which is probably why I like it the most because that's very in tone of the novel.
  3. damn:) And I thought I was so smart to see that one:)
  4. Thx nana for the clip! I just found something kinda cool. When I was watching the trailer for like a hundreth time I noticed that at the 2 min 13 seconds mark when Will and jaden are seen walking down a street in San Fransisco there is a guy walking behind them (so he's closer to us) and Will sort of looks at him than turns around and then the title appears. Now I freeze-framed it and I could swear this guy is the real Chris Gardner. I don't know how to make a screen capture but maybe one of you guys could do it and post it here. P.S. I just realized, I have no life at all.
  5. Check this out: http://goldderby.latimes.com/ Just scroll down a bit to the article about "happyness". It's also news on the Oscarwatch site (http://www.oscarwatch.com/news). I don't know about you guys but I'm getting more and more psyched about this one. What sucks though is the fact that it still doesn't have a release date in Poland:/ The same thing happened with Ali. They waited about 2 and a half years before finally releasing "Ali" on DVD only. If that happens again I'm gonna kill some Polish distributors - I swear!!
  6. Hello! Check this out: http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=16955 I haven't seen "Friday Night Lights" but the "Rundown" was awful so I'm sceptical on this one...
  7. I refuse to believe all of that! It's been said numerous times that the movie will be more faithful to the book than any of the previous adaptations. Every single official synopsis released for the film including the one on ComingSoon.net (which to me is probably the most reliable source of info on the net - not the spy loaded full of attention-seeking fans AICN) states that Robert Neville is the last man on EARTH not Manhattan. I think that until we see some more OFFICIAL stuff from the movie like a trailer or an official website we're gonna have to prepare ourselves for a bunch of those rumours. I'm still hooked on seeing this movie. I love Will, I love the book, I really dug the visuals and the style of CONSTANTINE so Lawrence works for me and I'm happy with the casting choices because they seem not to go with a popular face like Gabby Union but they seem to seek out some actual talent. Plus the rewrites that Akiva did on I, ROBOT were not so big. I read a script review of I, Robot's Jeff Vintar script and it was pretty much what we saw on screen so I'm assuming he didn't change much in Mark Protosevich's script as well (other than the already known changes - no Cortman, wierd creatures instead of vampires and NY instead of LA which I can easily deal with. Protosevich's script has long been famous for being a very good adaptation of the book. All in all, if you really think about it - it is looking quite promising. Don't believe everything you read on AICN.
  8. Hey! I saw it..and I loved it. If you ask me, it's a major improvement over the theatrical release. Why? It's simple. ALI's main flaw was always the fact that it seemed a bit...shattered. Like a collage of events with certain bits and pieces missing. This version has all those. They're seemingly meaningless 2-3seconds-long shots but they make the movie flow a bit more smoothly and they create the sense of certain continuity that the cinema version lacks sometimes;) Cheers P.S. The same problem is with Mann's latest movie - Miami Vice so I am egarly awaiting the director's cut of THAT;)
  9. The trailer looks good! The scene in which Will's crying in the bathroom of the subway station really touched me - the movie can be reallly good! Let's hope we get to see more of the movie now!
  10. Cinema Expo in Amsterdam revealed many of posters for ucpoming movies.. If you scroll down to see the Spider-Man 3 banner look at the part of a poster to it's right...I bet you a hunderd bucks this is pursuit of happyness. Father and son holding hands...c'mon!!! I don't know why no-one there snapped a photo of that! See for yourselves: http://www.greekgeek.de/cineexpo.html
  11. uh...Ali? ;> "I blew up the building" "Why?" "Because you made a phone call!"
  12. I gotta say I used to complain that Will never made anough films. One film a year compared to, say, Samuel L Jackson was just way too little for me...but now I'm getting really aggrevated. There's too much of those film projects for him.. The good news is he does seem to live up to his word. He said a while back that once he reaches 40 he'll stop making all this empty straight action/science-fiction crap and will turn to more mature cinema. Those movies that he is being tlinked to nowadays seem to prove that..
  13. I don't think it's gonna get cancelled. After all this talk about getting Ashwayra Rai to be cast alongside Smith for something and the hype that was created it just wouldn't be a smart move. Then again, Hollywood has shown us multiple times that it's capable of making stupid moves:/ After "I Am Legend" wraps Michael Mann will have been completely done with "Miami Vice" and I don't think he is OFFICIALLY signed for anything else so who knows...he just became a real candidate again. What's acting against his candidacy to do it is probably the fact that Will's and Mann's last collaboration (also done at Sony) "Ali" was not a commercial success. To a money-grabbing studio like Sony, I bet it is a factor. Anyway, another mname just popped into mu head. What do you guys think about J.J. Abrams. I mean "M:I:3" is so far the best recieved movie of the summer (both commercially and critically) and there's no doubt that "Lost" and "Alias" are among the best TV-Shows in recent history so Abrams is definitely "tha THING" right now..
  14. What would Will do in a movie about the Italian mob? To tell you the truth, I haven't exactly thought it through:) However what JusticeKnight suggested could be kinda cool;) Maybe they would hire him as a blunt tool and use him for a job. Then Pesci would try to frame him , kill his family and De Niro would try to help him... something like that.
  15. I would LOOOOOVE to see him in a Martin Scorsese movie with Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci about Italian mob...
  16. I don't mind movies with plots similar to others (like vampires) as long as they give us a fresh touch on the subject. How many Zombie movies hawe we seen before "Shaun Of The Dead" came out? And let's face it, the movie kicked major ass. I don't know if you read the book but I have and let me tell you this: it's a definitely a different look on the whole subject of vampires than anything we've seen so far. It's a novel in which most modern-day film-makers seek inspiration so I think it's about time someone translated it properly onto the big screen.
  17. Yeah, obviously. Good to know that they're finally moving forward with thid. One thing boithers me though, how can they be planning an early 2007 start date if "I Am Legend" is supposed to start filming at the beginning of 2007?
  18. I say f**k hip-hop and do more movies. I'm sorry to say this, I really am. I also enjoy his music, but let's face it - he's a much better actor than he is a singer. And you're right, it's gotten so ridiculous with the amount of movies he signed on to do but finally - a movie that I am actually excited about. Don't get mew wrong: Tief, Tonight, Time Share - they all sound good, but I read "I Am Legend" a long time ago and looooved it. I mean, the story is pretty beautiful for a horror novel;) That's right - beautiful:) I can't wait to see what he does with this one. One thing bothers me: the Akiva Goldsman rewrite - not cool:/
  19. No xXx please. A role that I would really like to see Will take is that of a villain. Kinda like Denzel in "Training Day" or Tom Cruise in "Collateral". I'm curious whether the audience would buy him as a villain..
  20. "I, Robot" Quoute: "That man's so ugly, when he sweats his sweat goes backward off his forehead just to stay away from his face!"
  21. Sounds great. i love political thrillers. I just finished reading Dan Brown's "The Deception Point" and I'm psyched for something like this to come along. However, I am starting to get worried. We keep hearing about new movies form Mr Smith. I mean "tonight", "TimeShare", "Greenbacks", "It Takes a Thief"..what else? I wonder whatever happened to some of his older projects he was also "attached" to star like "A Star Is Born", "Untitled S. Allen Counter movie", "I Am Legend", "Affirmative Action" and so on.. And let's not forget his promiseto give us "Bad Boys 3"...
  22. Bad Boys II "I'm all you've got. And you're all I've got!!"
  23. Hey! Radewart, how do you know that those two movies are dead? I can see why "Mark" got killed due its resemblance to "Tonight.." but why "Affirmative Action"? It really could've been fun. I think Affleck can be pretty good with the right script and director ("Changing Lanes", "Good Will Hunting") and the script sounded good so I'm kinda disappointed...
  24. Well, I guess it's all up to whoever takes over the director duties. We just have to wait and see.
  25. I find Tony Scott to be an incredibly uneven director. he can pull off some amazing stuff like "Enemy Of The State", "Man On Fire" and then deliver something as horrible as "Domino" or "the Fan":/ I would looove it if Michael Mann could step in but I guess he's still too tied up in finishing "Miami Vice" to even consider doing anything else. Other directors that I'd love to see helm this thing: David Fincher Peter Weir Alex Proyas !!!! (He and Will delivered one of the most intelligent science-fiction movies in a long time in my humble opinioion) Cheers
