    The Book of Eli

That's a bit exaggerated IMO. I like Denzel. I think he's an excellent actor, but I wouldn't consider him better than other great actors like Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, Jack Nicholson, Marlon Brando, Paul Newman or Tom Hanks, just to name a few. I don't consider him worse than them either. But while the actors I mentioned have given brilliant performances throughout their careers and have an incredible filmography full of unforgettable titles which are part of the history of cinema, I'd say Denzel's movies are, in general, mediocre. Again, don't get me wrong. Denzel is an excellent actor, but I wouldn't say he's the best ever. In fact, I believe the best actor ever doesn't exist. There are many candidates for that, and each of them is as good as the rest. First; yes i think this is the Fallout movie. Second, same deabte different forum eh dude? It's really all opinion. I've never enjoyed many performances from the actors you've mentioned. But I'm not claiming they arent great actors. I just enjoy Denzel's performances more. Like you said, no-one can catagorically say who the best ever is. You can just say what you enjoy more. I dont necessarally think being in a bunch of blockbuster movies makes you a great actor tho, it just means a lot of people enjoy your performances. A lot of people enjoy listening to Lil Wayne and he's sold millions of records, but people always argue that sales dont mean anything. So why should a popular movie rank the actors any higher than an unpopular movie? But I do agree, Denzel needs to diversify his roles. I think thats why some people alos dont rank him highly, they consider him a one trick pony.

JJFP.com GREATEST RAPPER OF ALL TIME

Good job! Do you think if you say it enough times people will vote based on it? Maybe they'll appreciate my efforts and start to humour me

JJFP.com GREATEST RAPPER OF ALL TIME

What criteria would we use to vote on the criteria though? Maybe we should have a vote on which criteria we use to determine the criteria LOL Joking aside, everyone agreed to the criteria in the first thread for this. Agreeing with the criteria isnt the problem tho is it really. Its not rocket science, you pick who you think is best based on those 3 catagories. The problem isnt people voting FP over Rakim, its the reasoning behind the choice when it's not connected to the criteria. If a person honestly thinks FP is a better lyricist, with a better flow and better skills, give him the vote. But when the critieria is skills, lyrics, flow, dont give your reason for voting for FP as Rakim hasn't done anything big in 10 years or I like FP more. Otherwise we may as well call this JJFP.com FAVOURITE Rapper of All-Time. I said criteria a lot then.

    Michael Jackson Dies At 50

That's crazy. I'll never understand why things like this happen. I heard about those people too. Obviously didnt know MJ too well if they thought he'd like to see things like that happening. Pathetic really. Whilst I was highly saddened about his death and have been reminiscing his music ever since, even thinking about commiting suicide as a possible option is beyond me. As much as I disagree with suicide, I can see how stresses and strains on peoples lives can make them resort to it, but the death of MJ, as much as I love him myself, should not be one of them.

I always rank Denzel as one of the best actors ever, if not the best. This looks great.

JJFP.com Greatest Rapper of All Time

AJ, like I said at the begining of all this when you complained about the system. It's to find the single best rapper. Not the top ten. Taking Rakim as an example, if he is truly the best rapper of all time, whether it be up against FP, or Lil Wayne, he would win the round. If an artist like Lil Wayne was to adavnce further than FP, it doesnt mean Wayne is a better emcee, it just means he maybe didnt face as tough competition. Just because a dope emcee got knocked out in the first round, doesnt mean they are'nt the second best rapper of all time. You're argument is pretty fluid when the idea of the vote was to find the singular best rapper ever, because regardless of how the voting system works, the same winner would still emerge.

    Quality Over Quantity

Beats are nice, Bart. I like the old skool style to it, while still being able to feel the new skool era. The vocal was a little weak for me. Flow was off and there was no energy, you kinda sounded like you was just reading the lryics and not actually performing the song. You have to perform just as much with just a mic, as you would if it was a live audience. But, I get the feeling the production is what ya focused on, and the spittin is just a chick on the side, and the production is good, keep at it bro.

who made the greatest impact on music?

Kurtis Blow, Bambaataa etc... arguably had the largest impact on hip hop, because they brought the culture to the forefront of music. Could Kurtis run with Pac lyrically, not in a million years. I dont really think Pac touched anymore subjects than anyone else did. It just seemed more natural because you know he lived the lifestyle, or even if he didnt, it was easy to believe he could have. I think FP has touched just as many subjects over the course of his career, but the perception of him is different, most see/saw him as a rich kid making music. So I think the impact is more about how you are percieved, more than what you actually did.

who made the greatest impact on music?

J5 and MJ without doubt for me. MJ's catalogue of work is still inspiring artists today, regardless of the genre. He revolutionised every aspect of music; Through verse, beats, dance, performance, video... there has never been and will probably never be an equal. Which is why his music will live forever. But for me, it goes far beyond their music. They broke down boundaries of race and made it possible for black people to dominate public interest for their talent. Moonwalk In Peace, MJ!
  22. Chris Brown has copped a plea in his assault case. He won't do jail time, but he will spend 6 months doing things like road cleanup. He's also been ordered to stay 50 yards clear of Rihanna. He'll spend 180 days doing community labor (8 hours a day -- 1440 hours total) -- which is, in effect, hard labor. He'll do his service in Virginia which is where Brown lives. A Virginia law enforcement officer told us Brown will be picking up trash, pulling weeds and washing fire trucks. He gets 5 years probation for FELONY assault -- he pled guilty. He'll get supervised probation. He'll have to come back to court every three months. He must enroll in a domestic violence counseling program. This is interesting ... the judge said if Brown and Rihanna are at the same public events, the 50-yard stay away turns into 10 yards. The stay away order lasts 5 years. The judge said she wanted to make sure that Chris Brown "was treated as any other person who comes through this court." If Brown violates probation, he could get up to 4 years in prison. Rihanna is in the courthouse but never entered the courtroom. So Brown is now a convicted felon and loses the right to vote or carry a gun. When Brown left the courtroom ... Rihanna walked in the courtroom. The judge explained the deal to her. The judge is telling Rihanna about the protective order. http://www.tmz.com/2009/06/22/chris-brown-cops-plea-rihanna-assault _______________________________________ Justice? Debatable...
